Happy Easter

Aubrey was spoiled this Easter. She had 3 Easter egg hunts. One outside with some friends. One at Grandma Packer's. And one here at our house. She loved to find the Easter eggs. I got her dress at Costco this year. It was so cute. We had so much fun. Jonathan got a Basketball book and "I am Legend". I got a cute shirt from Downeast and "Enchanted".

North Carolina Trip

We had so much fun in North Carolina. Sorry it's taken me so long to post pictures. We had a blast. We watched the Men's Basketball ACC tournament. We were lucky enough to see DUKE play twice. They lost their second game and didn't make it to the championship game. On saturday we went to the Charlotte St. Patricks Day Parade. There were over 100,000 people. It was really fun. There was a festival after with lots of fun food and booths. There was a booth that sold homemade rootbeer. If you don't alreay know, Jonathan loves to collect all different kinds of rootbeer. It was really good too. Our hotel was about 15 minutes away from the Charlotte Bobcat Arena, where the tournament was. Our tournament package included train tickets. It's and electric train that takes you straight into Uptown Charlote. It was so nice to not have to hastle with parking. We enjoyed our mini Vacation. Hope to make it a Tradition =).

Early Birthday Present

 

 

 

 

Aubrey opened an early birthday present from her Aunt Laurel (And Family). She was so excited to get a new swimsuit and towell. Both Disney Princesses. We are going swimming with Aubrey's cousin Dexter tonight. Thanks Albrecht's.

Sad Day

We saw 2 games today. North Carolina who beat Virginia tech by 2 points. And we saw Duke lose to Clemson by 4 points. SO SAD. We were hoping to see Duke and North Carolina in the Championship game. Oh well. Life goes on. It will still be a fun game to watch. Jonathan was pretty bummed. I think it was harder to watch DUKE lose in person rather than on T.V. We went to the Parade this morning. Very fun. Lots of "Irish" spirit. After the parade there was a festival. We split a Gyro and Philly Steak sandwich. They were so good. Then as we were walking Jonathan spotted a ROOT BEER stand (Jonathan is a big Root Beer connoisseur This guy travels around different Fairs and Festivals selling his Homemade Root beer and Soda's. After the game we went to "CHIPOTLE". It was so good. We use to eat there when we lived in Tucson and Ohio. It was a fun treat for Jonathan. I can't believe we still have 2 days left. We will make the most of it. We miss everyone. LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU AUBREY.

Day #2

We had a fun day today. We were able to see 4 games again. Duke played their first game today and won, of course.=) It was more fun today because the fans got into the games. The North Carolina-Duke rivalry is so fun. We ate dinner at the same restaurant that we ate at last night. YUM YUM. Tomorrow we plan on going to the St. Patrick's Day festival and Parade. The city of Charlotte is expecting more than 100,000 people. We will then see North Carolina and Virginia Tech play at 1:30 then Duke and Clemson will play after. Love you all.

Go Blue Devils

Hey Ya'll. Jonathan and I have survived our first day here in North Carolina. If you didn't know, I surprised him with a trip here to North Carolina to watch the men's ACC basketball tournament. The weather is BEAUTIFUL. Warm 60-70's. We excited for tomorrow's games. Both North Carolina and Duke will play their first round of games. Not against each other yet. We ate dinner at "Rock Bottom". We ordered some Nachos as an appetizer. IT WAS HUGE. So big we didn't even eat our entrees. That is Ok. We are going to eat them for lunch. I am so Thankful for my family for watching Aubrey for us. We miss her terribly and often catch ourselves quoting her. We will give you an update on tomorrow's day tomorrow. GO DUKE.

ACC Tournament.....Here We Come

Jonathan's Birthday was on March 11th. I can't believe that he is now 30. I surprised him with a little vacation for the 2 of us. We leave tomorrow for Charlotte, North Carolina, where we will be watching the mens ACC Basketball Tournament. If you don't know already, Jonathan is the Biggest DUKE Basketball fan. I am so excited to have a little vacation. Thanks to all who will be taking care of Aubrey for the next Week. We will definitely miss her.

Aubrey went POOPIE in the toilet for the first time last week. I love to watch the TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8". She took pictures of her kids next to their first Poopie so I thought I would. Doesn't she look so proud.
