Out of the Mouth of Aubrey

I was at a meeting Tuesday night so Jonathan and Aubrey went to go visit Grandma and Grandpa Packer. As I got home they pulled in the drive way and Jonathan was motioning me to go and get Aubrey out. He then explained to me that she was heart broken. Aubrey found a baby robin egg while at grandmas and wanted to take it home with her. He let her hold it while they were driving home and told her to hold it very carefully. Half way home she started to cry histarically. She crushed the egg with her fingers too tightly and the yolk got all over her shirt and hands. She was so sad. The shell was in pieces. She kept telling Jonathan to fix it. He said he couldn't and of course she kept telling him he could glue it back together or maybe tape it back together. After she got in the house I was able to talk her into saying goodbye to it and throwing it away in the Garbage. After getting ready for bed, Jonathan asked her to say the Family Prayer. He reminded her that we were going to bed and to say our Good Night Prayer's. This was her Prayer:
Dear.... Please help us to have a good night sleep. Thankful for my Mommy. Thankful for my Daddy. Thankful for me. Thankful for the tiny little egg. Sorry I broke it. Glad the egg is happy now. In the........Amen
Tear's came down my face. She said her prayer with so much feeling. It makes me so happy to hear her pray everyday about all the things she is thankful for and for the things that happen throughout the day. I am so grateful for Jonathan and Aubrey. They bring so much joy into my life. They are truly the best I could ask for.

Beautiful pic of Aubrey! I am sorry about the little egg. What a sweet little prayer though. She has a very tender heart.
